Madison Metivier

multidisciplinary designer | creative leader

Madison Metivier is a multidisciplinary designer and creative leader with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Howard University, where she also earned double minors in Art History and German. Her career has been deeply rooted in the creative world, leading her to work with some of the most respected names in media, design, and culture—including CNN, the Hirshhorn Museum, New York Fashion Week, and world-renowned design consultancy Pentagram under the mentorship of Michael Bierut and Eddie Opara.

In 2018, Madison co-founded Ojii Creative, a design consulting agency built to amplify purpose-driven storytelling through thoughtful design. Under her leadership, the agency has collaborated with an impressive roster of clients such as Universal Music Group, Harvard Business School, The Roots, Mary J. Blige, The Obama Foundation, Seed Global Health, Live Nation, Howard University School of Law, and Neyo.

Her creative work extends beyond client services. In 2021, Madison was recognized by the Indigo Design Awards in the category of Design for Social Change for her digital art series, A Study In Black Female Afrofuturism—a powerful exploration of identity, futurism, and visual culture.

Passionate about mentorship and community-building, Madison serves as Creative Director for CodeHouse, a nonprofit dedicated to building pathways into tech for Black and Latinx students. Through CodeHouse, incoming HBCU freshmen are awarded $20,000 scholarships, participate in a technical summer bridge program at Morehouse College, and are connected with leading tech firms including PayPal, Microsoft, and Google.

Her commitment to empowering emerging creatives continues globally: she is a three-time mentor at the European Innovation Academy in Porto, Portugal, and serves as a mentor for the State of Black Design conference.

Currently, Madison is a Global Marketing Graphic Designer at Gensler, the world’s most influential architecture and design firm. In this role, she transforms architectural narratives into compelling visual experiences across print and digital platforms—bringing the built environment to life through design.
