Mariela Correa is a Senior Technical Designer with more than 20 years of experience spanning apparel and home product development. In her current role at Target, she leads the development of adaptive apparel and multicultural home products designed to be inclusive, functional, and reflective of diverse guest experiences. Throughout her career, Mariela has championed innovation through design thinking—driving advancements in fit, construction, and usability across categories ranging from kids’ outerwear to ready-to-wear and adaptive design. She has extensive knowledge of product development, production and manufacturing practices.

Her leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement. She believes that the most meaningful products come from listening deeply, understanding purpose, and bringing together diverse perspectives.

Mariela was born in Cordoba, Argentina and immigrated with her family to New Jersey. She has a Bachelor in Fashion Design and a Master’s in Design Project Management.

Outside of work, Mariela loves to travel, garden and photography.
