What if coffee wasn't fuel,
what if it was your rest ritual ?
PARTNERSHIP //
Designing a Restful Coffee Experience
Drinking coffee is more than a morning routine to fuel productivity; it’s a moment to rest, a restorative ritual practiced by indigenous coffee communities around the world for centuries. As the most consumed beverage in the world after water, we all have an opportunity to not only experience coffee in this special way, but to appreciate and honor its origins by changing our relationship to coffee from one that has been mostly functional and transactional to one that is relational, intentional, and deeply meaningful.
Tinycup Coffee is A family-owned coffee roasting company, helping everyday people relate to coffee as a personally restorative ritual through small-batch coffee roasting traditions that honor the indigenous coffee communities of the global south.
Michael J.A. Davis (Founder & Head Roaster) is an award-winning designer, creative director and coffee roaster from Northern Virginia. His professional work is grounded in a commitment to the life, love, and liberation of everyday Black people and communities that have been made vulnerable by systems of inequity.
After 15 years in corporate America, Michael founded Tinycup Coffee in 2023. Its aim to enrich the coffee-drinking experience is rooted in a desire to preserve and elevate the traditions and stories of indigenous coffee communities around the globe.
